IZEMFENE HIKING TRAIL

Location                          In the Biggarsberg mountain range hiking through 1838 Voortrekker farms, Natal bushveld, grasslands, indigenous forests and a coal rich area.

 

Day 1                              Started with quite a bit of climbing ascending more than 1 000 metres with several ecological and historical places of interest on the way. The beginning of the day was overcast followed by mist and rain in the afternoon.

 

Day 2                              Steep descent into the valley with similar places of interest to the above. The weather was sunny and clear all day.
